#100: Motherhood, the Game
Friends, we made it! One hundred strips! When I started doing How Baby, I had no idea it would grow into the sprawling labour of love it’s become. As a new mom, I didn’t think I had the time or the stamina. I didn’t know there were so many stories inside of me, or so many people who wanted to hear them. Every day, I look back on the last two years and feel a profound gratefulness that I’ve been allowed into your eyeballs and your hearts with every strip – multiplied tenfold by every email, every comment I’ve received thanking me for doing it. Thank you, for being here, for supporting me, for becoming patrons, for reading me, for letting me know that I’m not alone on this journey either.
This special hundredth strip is an actual poster that you can pick up on Redbubble (which, BY THE WAY, is running a 20% sale with the code TELEPORT), and is something I’ve been working on for a while. It’s a functional board game, if a little unbalanced… and, hey, more than a little tongue-in-cheek. And it only goes up to early childhood. Look, it’s a work in progress, just like me.
I’m really excited to be here with you, on the hundredth strip. Thank you. I’m looking forward to the next hundred!
