Scenes from this summer, featuring words I have actually said to Momo. She didn’t get the joke, but maybe between now and when she inevitably reads this, she’ll have read Hamlet and will think her mom was really cool and smart.

I’ve been trying to expand her horizons with something – anything! – else, but she’s like her dad: she’ll watch the same thing over and over, just because it’s her favorite. I go crazy if subjected to repeated viewings of anything. But! At least Daniel Tiger’s pretty good, because there’s something magical about short, easy-to-remember songs. Angry? Stomp three times.  Stop, and listen, to stay safe! Have to go potty? Stop and go right away! Daniel’s got me covered for convincing Momo to listen to her boring ol’ mom.
