From the ol’ memory banks, because I totally did this to Momo the other day when I was trying to wrestle her back into her room to nap.

The sleep gurus advise putting babies to bed while they’re “drowsy, but awake” (a state much more easily achieved by the parent in this scenario) because apparently you don’t want them to get accustomed to falling asleep only in your arms?? But this mythical stage is like… non-existent, okay. Momo was either 1) crying, 2) eating, or 3) asleep. There was no drowsy. If there was even a chance she was on her way to sleep, I’d always jostle her awake because yrs truly is a clumsy oaf, or, my favourite, the ol’ doorframe to the melon. Good thing their heads are like little crash helmets.
