This summer, Momo’s been getting more comfortable roaming around our (busy) neighbourhood on her own, which has lead to some… realizations about what it means to be independent.

VANCOUVER PEOPLE! I’ve been invited to join local bookstore Cross & Crows Books at their table at the Vancouver Dyke March Festival, this Saturday, August 2, at Grandview Park! There will be copies of Motherlover there to purchase (and support a local queer bookstore!), which you can then get signed by yours truly, as well as a small number of stickers and prints for sale on the side. Come by and say hello, get a book signed, and enjoy the festival!

TRANSCRIPT

Panel 1: Momo returns home; Lindsay calls out over their shoulder
Lindsay: Hey, babe! How was your field trip to the store?

Panel 2: Momo, agonized close-up
Momo: It was fine… but I only got a Slurpee, a bag of chips, and a small bag of candy… and it was eight dollars! Eight dollars! How?!

Panel 3: Lindsay, bent over to patronizingly hug a deadpan Momo
Lindsay: Yeah… yeah, I know.
