I don’t know how much time I thought I had, but I thought it was more than this.

It’s been a busy month at Chez Baby: five conventions in four weeks, Momo’s birthday (more to come on that), and getting ready for the first day of high school, and of course just regular work. Momo being able to be more independent during the summers has been a blessing, but then sometimes we reconnect and I realize that I’m a few content patches behind on the latest version of her software. Not enough to lock myself out, just… enough that I need to catch up a little before I’m equipped to have the kind of conversations I’m about to have.

It’s back-to-school for a lot of readers now, so I hope if you’re stuck in here with me that everything is going well and you squeezed as much as you could out of the break. Momo’s back to school in September, so we have a few precious more weeks of summer – and prep time – to enjoy before it’s gone. It all went so fast this year, it seems; time flies when it’s filled with things to do.
