I walk about 20 minutes each way every day to take Momo to daycare, which is a lot of time to wrangle a small child who’d rather do anything than walk in a straight line. So we’ve imagined a lot of strange characters and locations into our walk, to keep her interested. It’s made for a very personalized journey, almost like a few fictional ones I could name…

Probably the most idiosyncratic is the ‘cliffs’ we pass by, where I tried to pull her out of the road and she fell off a curb, so now she tells everyone who’ll listen about ‘the time mommy pushed [me] off a cliff’ and we had to limp into the pet store to get bandaids. Going to get me in trouble, kiddo.
