Reader… they’re not even plugged into anything. They’re just headphones with a Poke Ball design on them.

We’ve suspected Momo has trouble processing loud, crowded spaces for a while, but nothing brings that home more than how for the past few days, even just wearing headphones with no music playing, she’s got a much larger battery life before she gets frustrated and intractable in public. I get it a little bit, too; I have a pretty big battery as an extrovert, but the best shopping experience is still the one where I’ve completely blocked out the sights and sounds of the mall and get to just exist in my own little world, bumping up against the real one only when I need to.

Anyway, wow! Kids! It’s almost as if they get overwhelmed by everything as much as their parents, huh??
