#556: Perfect Hot Chocolate
Being, just, the person I am, I’m not a big fan of standing around in the cold for snow activities (and I certainly don’t join in, ugh, that’s how you get wet and slip and fall and ugh, no thank you), but I am a big fan of what happens after. The good thing about kids perceptions of time being skewed is that the twenty minutes of time (that took you four hours to prepare for) feels like forever, so you can get away with scooting off to do the real (for me) fun part.
Considering tomorrow Momo goes back to school in the middle of an omicron wave, I considered and threw out a lot of comics before settling on something light. I can’t, every few months, do another comic about how it fucking sucks that I have to send her to school during a goddamn pandemic and, not only does it not feel like things are any better, but that things are actually worse. That despite her sacrifice of staying home last year, I’m sending her right back into it. It sucks! It sucks, and I don’t want to make comics about it any more, but it’s pretty much the largest thing going on in my life right now.
So, you know what, fuck it. Perfect hot chocolate. Sappy mom content, for once. Let the silence say what I’m not.
